Kuzbass's 2026 budget revenues are forecast to drop by nearly 40 bln rubles or 19.1% compared to the 2026 baseline scenario due to the crisis in Russia's coal industry, forcing major spending cuts, according to a document published on the Kuzbass Parliament's official website. Output of coal and gold is set to decline significantly, worsening the fiscal strain on Russia's leading coal-producing region.
