Daily coal shipments on China's Daqin railway, a major artery connecting major production areas to northern ports, remained above 1.2 Mt recently, state media CCTV reported. As of Nov 17, coal transportation volume of Daqin line reached 21.166 Mt this month, with an average daily shipment of 1.245 Mt, up 239 Kt MoM. Recently, many areas in China have experienced strong winds and temperature drops due to a strong cold front. With the gradual increase in heating demand in N China, coal transportation in winter has also entered its peak period.
