Brazil's iron ore and pellet exports surged to a record high in June 2026, driven by robust demand from China.
Exports totaled 42.23 million tonnes, up 17.74% year on year and 50.88% month on month, according to data from Comex Stat.

Export revenue reached $2.85 billion, up 19.99% from a year earlier and 44.65% from the previous month. The average export price stood at $67.4/t, up $1.3/t year on year but down $2.9/t month on month.
China remained the top destination, taking 32.07 million tonnes, up 24.50% year on year and 54.85% month on month, accounting for 76% of total shipments. Exports to Malaysia and Oman totaled 2.02 million tonnes and 1.47 million tonnes, respectively.
In the first six months of 2026, Brazil's iron ore and concentrate exports reached 189 million tonnes, up 2.43% year on year. Cumulative export revenue stood at $13.43 billion, up 5.18%, with an average price of $70.9/t, up $1.9/t year on year.
