China's bulk commodity price index edged lower in June, easing 1.7% month on month to 130.3 points, as Middle East tensions eased, expectations of a US Federal Reserve rate hike grew and some industries entered a traditional off-season, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing said on July 5. The index still rose 17.6% year on year, with raw material cost pressures continuing to ease for enterprises. Of the 50 bulk commodities tracked by the federation, 11 posted month-on-month price gains in June, led by coking coal, coke and corrugated paper, which rose 20.3%, 11.2% and 5.3%, respectively.
