Ganqimaodu port, a key border crossing between China and Mongolia, handled 27.87 million tonnes of cargo in cumulative imports and exports as of July 1, with coal maintaining a dominant share, according to data from the port's official WeChat account.

During the period, the port imported 26.47 million tonnes of coal, 993,400 tonnes of copper concentrate, and 1,400 tonnes of manganese ore, while exports totaled 410,300 tonnes.

Based on data from the Mongolia Stock Exchange compiled by Sxcoal, Mongolian coal companies had offered a total of 17.88 million tonnes in online auctions as of July 2, 2026.

Of that, 14.6 million tonnes were sold, representing an 82% success rate. Nearly 90% of the successful bids were for delivery at Ganqimaodu port.
