Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao and European Commission Trade and Economic Security Commissioner Maros Sefcovic held the first meeting of the China-EU Trade and Investment Consultation Mechanism in Brussels on Jun 29, issuing a joint statement. The two sides, as key trade partners, agreed the mechanism's main purpose is to strengthen ministerial-level trade and investment policy dialogue to stabilize bilateral relations and make them more balanced.
