Coal India Ltd (CIL) aims to achieve its coal production target of 875 Mt in the remaining 5 mths of FY26, said the CMD Sanoj Kumar Jha on Nov 9.

The statement came at a time when the CIL had missed its production targets in Sep and Oct, mainly caused by the prolonged monsoon rains that disrupted mining operations, according to Jha.
