China's coal imports are expected to hit record levels in 2024, with a 14.8% year-over-year increase to 490 million tonnes in the first 11 months. Mongolian thermal coal imports rose by 56%, while Russian coal transport remained robust, attracting growing market interest.
To better respond to market changes and enhance coal pricing services, we are pleased to announce the official release of the following indexes, effective January 2, 2025.
Mongolian thermal coal indexes at key Chinese border ports would include CCI Ganqimaodu 6000, CCI Ganqimaodu 5500, CCI Mandula 5000, CCI Zhuengadabuqi 3200 DAP, and CCI Zhuengadabuqi 3200.
Russian thermal coal index at Chinese Manzhouli border port would be CCI Manzhouli 5500.
These indexes, scheduled for publication every Friday at 17:00 Beijing time, employ advanced statistical methodologies and comprehensive data sources to provide an accurate reflection of imported coal prices and market trends in central and eastern Inner Mongolia and northeastern China.
