In response to the evolving coal market dynamics and our commitment to providing accurate and comprehensive pricing information, we are excited to announce the launch of new Xinjiang Thermal Coal Price indexes, effective September 12, 2024.

This new indexes will include CCI Xinjiang 5500, CCI Xinjiang 5000, CCI Xinjiang 5500 FOR, CCI Xinjiang 5000 FOR, and CCI Xinjiang 5000 FOR Yumen.

As the coal industry undergoes continuous development and adjustment, it is essential for us to ensure that our indexes are scientifically sound, rational, and timely. Therefore, we have made the decision to discontinue the Urumqi 5500 Index. While the previous index has served as a useful reference tool, it has increasingly revealed limitations in data collection and calculation methods in light of the market changes.

The new indexes will implement advanced statistical methods and utilize a wider range of data sources, thereby providing a more accurate reflection of Xinjiang coal market prices and trends. Our goal is to deliver reliable and impactful pricing information that supports the sustainable growth of the coal industry.
