China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd., a listed arm of China Energy Investment Corp, saw its total polyolefin sales increase 8.2% or 4,500 tonnes year on year yet dipped 1.8% or 1,100 tonnes on the month to 59,300 tonnes in August, said the company in a report on September 16.
The company's polyethylene sales were 30,700 tonnes, up 15.4% on the year and 2.7% month on month. Sales of polypropylene rose 1.4% year on year yet fell 6.2% month on month to 28,600 tonnes.
Total sales of polyolefin from January to August were 471,100 tonnes, down 0.1% from the preceding year, while polyethylene sales were 241,900 tonnes, up 0.4% from the year-ago level and polypropylene sales dropped 0.6% to 229,200 tonnes.
