China's market-based electricity trading volume at all exchange centers in the country totaled 4,310.2 TWh in the first 10 month of the year, jumping 43.3% from the same period a year ago.
This accounted for 60.1% of the country's total consumption over the same period, up 16 percentage points from January-October 2021.
The market trading volumes included 3,425.1 TWh under medium- and long-term contracts, which increased 42.7% from a year earlier.
In October alone, the market-based power trading volume totaled 411.3 TWh, up 36.1% year on year. This included 321.3 TWh integrated in term contracts, a 37.9% rise year on year.
