Daily crude steel output at key member firms of China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) stood at 2 million tonnes during November 11-20, up 0.76% compared with the previous ten days, the CISA data showed.
Daily production of pig iron averaged 1.81 million tonnes during the given period, up 0.23% from ten days ago. Daily output of finished steel rose 2.88% from ten days ago to 1.97 million tonnes.
Nationwide, daily production of crude steel ticked down by 0.02% from ten days ago to 2.72 million tonnes. The daily pig iron and steel products output is calculated at 2.34 million and 3.55 million tonnes, up 0.04% and 1.63% respectively.
As of November 20, CISA key member steel mills held 17.3 million tonnes of finished steel stocks, 3.46% or 0.58 million tonnes higher than early-November, 53.14% or 6 million tonnes higher than the start of the year and 24.22% higher compared with the same period in 2021, data showed.
