China Coal Energy Co., Ltd, the listed arm of China National Coal Group, saw its polyolefin sales rise 25.3% year on year yet fall 15.5% month on month to 109,000 tonnes in July, the company said in a report on August 15.
The polyolefin production in the month slumped 13.5% year on year and 31.4% month on month to 83,000 tonnes.
Polyethylene sales were 54,000 tonnes, up 28.6% year on year but down 8.5% month on month. Sale of polypropylene increased 22.2% from a year ago but declined 21.4% from a month ago to 55,000 tonnes.
Production of polypropylene decreased 14.3% from a year ago and 26.3% from June to 42,000 tonnes, and polypropylene output totaled 41,000 tonnes, down 12.8% year on year and 35.9% month on month.
The company produced 30,000 tonnes of urea in July, diving 80.1% year on year and 82% month on month, and urea sales tumbled 87.3% on the year and 85.6% from June to 20,000 tonnes.
In July, the company produced 89,000 tonnes of methanol, down 39.9% year on year and 50.8% month on month and sold 110,000 tonnes, down 23.1% year on year and 22% month on month.
