Wuhai in coal-rich Inner Mongolia saw its raw coal production at 3.57 million tonnes in April, a drop of 7.1% from the same period last year, according to local government website.
The April growth was 19.5 percentage points lower than that in March, and daily coal production was averaged at 118,900 tonnes.
Wuhai produced 1.43 TWh of electricity in April, down 21.4% year on year, with the decline expanding by 25.3 percentage points from March.
Thermal and hydro power generation declined 21.86% and 27.15% year on year, while solar power output rose 4.18%.
