S Korea Apr anthracite imports slump 34.5% MoM

South Korea's anthracite imports slumped 45.08% year on year and 34.5% month on month to 299,800 tonnes in April 2022, customs data showed.



The total anthracite import value rose 76.1% year on year but declined 7.99% from the preceding month to $108 million in April. That translates to an average import price of $360.63/t, skyrocketing 220.66% year on year and 40.48% month on month.


South Korea's anthracite imports totaled 1.58 million tonnes during January-April, 23.07% lower than the year-ago level. The cumulative import value reached $424 million, with average price at $268.25/t, rising 171.88% on the year.
