Some steel products prices in China started to rebound in mid-January (January 11-20), while some kinds presented a slower decline compared with ten days ago, according to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statics (NBS).
The average price of construction steel rebar (HRB 400, 20mm) at 25 major cities in China stood at 4,679.8 yuan/t, rising 38.4 yuan/t or 0.8 % from ten days earlier.
Prices of wire (HPB 300, 6.5 mm) averaged 4,855.2yuan/t in the same period, up 30.1 yuan/t or 0.6% from ten days ago.
Prices of common medium plate (Q235, 20mm) fell 35.0 yuan/t or 0.7% from the preceding session to 5,015.0, with the decline narrowing by 0.5 percentage point from ten days ago.
Hot-rolled plate (Q235, 3mm) increased by 46.1 yuan/t or 1% to 4,876.8 yuan/t.
Seamless steel tube decreased 6.4 yuan/t or 0.1% to 5,753.2 yuan/t, and angle steel dropped 39.2 yuan/t or 0.8% to 5,141.5 yuan/t, data showed.
