Vietnam's coal production hit a new high since April 2021 in November, according to data from the General Statistics Office.
The country produced 4.48 million tonnes of coal in November, up 8.5% from 4.13 million tonnes from the year before, and 17.01% from 3.83 million tonnes in the month prior, data showed.
In January-November, its coal production totaled 46.1 million tonnes, rising 1.07% from 45.61 million tonnes in the same period in 2020.
Coal production was predicted to be 4.31 million tonnes in December, rising 20.93% year on year but falling 3.91% from the preceding month. The volume would send the total to 47.85 million tonnes in 2021.
