Indonesia's coal exports totaled 36.26 million tonnes in September, a 28.44% rise year on year yet down 3.86% from August, the latest data released by Indonesia's national statistics bureau.
Thermal coal exports totaled 27.28 million tonnes, up 13.5% year on year but down 0.21% month on month, including 23.98 million tonnes of other coal, up 12.78% year on year and 2.65% month on month, and 3.3 million tonnes of bituminous coal, up 19.03% year on year but down 17.03% month on month.
China remained the largest destination of Indonesia's coal exports, reaching 15.75 million tonnes, surging 3.2 times year on year but down 19.32% month on month; shipments to India were 5.59 million tonnes, down 44.85% year on year but up 23.02% month on month.
In January-September, Indonesia's coal exports totaled 320 million tonnes, a 7.93% rise against the year-ago period.
