China's main coal mining companies enjoyed a rapid growth in revenue and profit as a whole over the first four months this year, according to China National Coal Association (CNCA).
Revenue of 4,273 coal enterprises, whose main business income reaches 20 million yuan ($3.11 million) or above, totaled 760.3 billion yuan in January-April, up 26.4% year on year, the CNCA data showed.
Total profits hit 114.03 billion yuan, surging 91.5% on the year.
By end-April, assets of surveyed coal companies totaled 5.76 trillion yuan, up 6.1% year on year. Their liability rose 8.3% to 3.82 trillion yuan, leaving the asset-liability ratio at 66.4%, up 1.3 percentage points from the same period last year.
