Polish coal production saw a slight rise in February 2021, according to the data from Polish Central Bureau of Statistics.
Polish coal production in February decreased 1.79% year on year from 8.68 million tonnes to 8.52 million tonnes, down 4.31% month on month from 8.90 million tonnes in January, after increasing for four consecutive months before reaching a 12-month high in January, data showed.
Polish hard coal production stood at 4.60 million tonnes in February, decreaseing 7.29% year on year but increasing 3.53% month on month; production of lignite reached 3.92 million tonnes, increasing 5.58% year on year but decreasing 12.13% month on month, data showed.
Polish coal production totaled 100 million tonnes in 2020, decreasing 10.44% from a year ago. Among them, hard coal was 54.5 million tonnes, down 11.88% from the year before; lignite was 45.99 million tonnes, down 8.66% from the year before.
