The National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), India's largest iron ore producer, produced 3.86 million tonnes of iron ore in February, marking a robust year-on-year increase of 19%, said the company.
Its sales of iron ore also climbed up 12% from the year prior to 2.91 million tonnes last month.
Iron ore output of the Bailadila Projects was 3.15 million tonnes in February, rising 8% year on year. Sales reached a year-on-year increment of 8% to 2.62 million tonnes.
NMDC has recently restarted the operation at Donimalai mine, which has a minimum production capacity of 0.5 million tonnes per month. The company's overall performance will be further enhanced with the resumption of Donimalai mine.
