China's coal exports in December slumped 86.76% year on year to a record low of only 90,000 tonnes since January 2014 at least, which also dropped 47.06% from the month-ago level, showed data from the General Administration of Customs on January 22.
The export value was $13.69 million in the month, falling down 84.84% year on year and down 43.72% from November.
This translated to average export price at $152.07/t, rising $19.33/t from the preceding year and up $9.03/t month on month.
In the full-year of 2020, China's total coal exports amounted to 3.19 million tonnes, diving down 47.1% year on year. The value dropped 53.3% on the year to $435.76 million.
