China's natural gas imports surged 22.3% from the preceding month to 11.23 million tonnes in December 2020, showed data from the General Administration of Customs (GAC) on January 14.
The import value came in at $3.61 billion in the month. The average import price was calculated to $321.31/t last month, up by 5.1% month on month.
In 2020, China's natural gas imports totaled 102 million tonnes, up by 5.3% on the year. The value fell 19.8% on the year to $33.46 billion, which translated to average price at $329.08/t.
