Germany imported 2.37 million tonnes of hard coal in November, falling 14.8% year on year and 11.33% month on month, showed preliminary data from the Federal Statistical Office of Germany.
The November imports still took third high place since January 2020, data showed.
In the month, Germany imported 1.22 million tonnes of hard coal from Russia, down 11.47% from the previous month. Hard coal imports from Australia reached 377,100 tonnes, an increase of 12.14% from a month ago.
Germany imported 317,800 tonnes of hard coal from the United States in November, slumping 33.53% from a month ago.
Germany's November hard coal imports were worth 147 million euros (1.38 billion yuan), down 31.29% year on year and 7.5% month on month. The coal price was estimated to average €73.55/t, sliding 19.35% year on year but up 4.31% month on month.
Over January-November, Germany imported 22.73 million tonnes of hard coal totally, reducing 29.64% from the same period last year, with import value amounting to 1.93 billion euros, falling 44.97% from a year ago.
