Coal exports from Brisbane port in Queensland, Australia were 278,700 tonnes in October, slumping 48.86% from the previous year and down 23.07% from September, showed data from the Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd (PBPL).
The exports in October declined for a third month but were slightly higher than a low of only 221,800 tonnes in June this year, which set a record low since January 2017 at least.
The port exported a total of 3.66 million tonnes of coal over January-October, falling 32.85% from the same period of 2019.
Data showed 6.36 million tonnes of coal were exported from Brisbane port in 2019, down 10.38% from the year-ago level.
