China's coal mining and washing industry saw total profit tumble 27.7% year on year to 177.2 billion yuan ($26.06 billion) in the first ten months this year, showed data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on November 27.
Main business revenue of the industry came in at 1.59 trillion yuan over the period, sliding 10.7% on the year, while operating cost decreased 8.5% to 1.13 trillion yuan, said the NBS.
For the entire mining industry, profit totaled 307.23 billion yuan, down 34.5% year on year; main business revenue and operating cost were respectively at 3.09 trillion and 2.29 trillion yuan, down 10.0% and 5.5% from corresponding period of 2019.
