Indonesia's coal producer PT Indo Tambangraya Megah sold 15.4 million tonnes (Mt) of coal in January-September period, down 18% year on year.
Of the 15.4 Mt, 12.5 Mt or 81% was for exports. The company exported 3.6 Mt to China, 3.5 Mt to Japan and 1.3 Mt to Philippines.
Thailand, South Korea and India respectively took 900,000 tonnes, 800,000 and 700,000 tonnes.
ITM targeted 22 Mt of sales performance in this year, which means the company needs to sell 6.6 Mt in Q4 to reach the goal.
ITM now owns five subsidiaries in Indonesia with 99.99% of stock equity. Banpu Public Company Limited, a major Thailand energy company, owned 65.06% stakes of the ITM.
In January-September period, ITM produced 13.8 Mt of coal, with its annual guidance of 19.2 Mt. Its production in Q3 climbed 11.36% from a quarter ago to 4.9 Mt.
