Yulin extracted 326.99 million tonnes of raw coal over January-August, increasing by 17.8% year on year, yet the growth rate slowed by 1.9 percentage points from January-July, according to the statistics bureau of Yulin city.
The output of washed coal were 37.16 million tonnes, a year-on-year growth of 2.7%, lower than a yearly growth of 4.7% in January-July, data showed.
Power output hit 80.58 TWh in the city, an increase of 24.6% from the year-ago level.
Production value of the coal mining and washing industry picked up 1.2% from the previous year to 131.91 billion yuan ($19.34 billion), while that of petroleum, coal and other fuel processing industries slid by 14.4% year on year to 35.77 billion yuan.
Production value of major energy enterprises added up to 229.60 billion yuan during January-August, falling by 2.7% year on year, with the growth rate keeping flat with the January-July period, according to the bureau.
The value represented 80.6% in the total output value of major industrial enterprises in Yulin.
Major industrial enterprises refer to those with annual main business income above 20 million yuan in China.
