Hunan Valin Steel Co., Ltd, one of China's top ten state-owned steel producers, produced 2.09 million tonnes of steel products in July, up by 1.5% from a month ago, said the company in a statement.
Sales of steel products came in at 2.09 million tonnes last month, standing still compared with June.
The firm meanwhile produced 1.77 million tonnes of pig iron, rising 2.3% from June, while output of crude steel edged up 0.9% on the month to 2.23 million tonnes.
In the first seven months, Valin Steel's production of pig iron, crude steel and steel products came in at 12.12 million, 15.21 million and 14.17 million tonnes, respectively. The company sold a total 13.93 million tonnes of steel products.
Valin Steel owns three major production bases and has 17.55 million tonnes per annum of steel-making capacity.
In the first half of this year, the company expected its net profit at 2.93-3.13 billion yuan.
