Renewables (including major hydroelectric projects) market share in India slightly rose 0.1% to 36.3% in the second quarter of 2020, a media reported.
Total installed capacity in the country climbed from 372.1 GW in the first quarter to 372.9 GW in the second quarter, guangfu.bjx.com reported.
India saw its accumulative installed capacity of renewables (excluding major hydroelectric projects) total 89.53 GW by the end of second quarter with a market share of 24%, higher than 88.9 GW or a 23.9% share by end of the first quarter.
The solar power generation accounted for 9.9%, wind power generation accounted for 10.1%, biomass power generation 2.7%, small hydropower projects 1.3%, and waste incineration 0.04%.
By the end of the second quarter, the cumulative installed capacity of solar energy was 36.9 GW, accounting for 9.6% of the total market.
