China produced a total 228.65 million tonnes of cement in June, rising 8.4% year on year but falling 8.1% from May, showed data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on July 16.
The average daily cement output was calculated at 7.62 million tonnes in June, increasing 627,000 tonnes or 9% year on year, yet declining 400,000 tonnes or 5% from May.
Over the first six months, cement output totaled 998.23 million tonnes, down 4.8% from the same period last year, the NBS data showed.
China's production of plate glass came in at 79.16 million weight cases in June, down by 3.9% on the year but up 0.9% month on month. Daily production was calculated at 2.64 million weight cases, up 4.3% from the month-ago level.
The output of plate glass in January-June inched down 0.4% to 461.84 million weight cases, data showed.
