Central China Hubei's cumulative newly-commissioned and constructing power transmission and transformation projects have both exceeded 150% of the plans in the first half of 2020, disclosed by the State Grid Hubei Electric Power Co., Ltd. on July 6.

This marks the transmission capacity of Hubei power grid has further increased.

Since the beginning of this year, State Grid Hubei Electric Power has commissioned 37 ≥110 kV power transmission and transformation projects with the total transmission line reaching 770 kilometers and the transformation capacity hitting 4.3 million kVA.

A total 13 ≥110 kV power transmission and transformation projects have started construction since this year, with a total transmission line of 331 kilometers and the transformation capacity of 1.22 million kVA.

Three 500 kV power transmission, transformation and expansion projects started operation in east Enshi, Ezhou and Fenghuang Mountain in May. The monthly scale of newly-operating projects in Hubei reached a record high in May.

Several power grid projects will successively be put into operation in Hubei in mid-July, which will improve the reliability of power supply during the peak summer season in Wuhan, and provide strong power supply for economic recovery during post-COVID-19 period.
