Newcastle port in Australia exported 78.6 million tonnes of coal in January-June, down 1.8% from a year ago, latest data showed.
Coal exports from two terminals, Carrington and Kooragang, were down 1.7% from a year ago to 51.9 million tonnes, data showed from the Port Waratah Coal Services, operator of the two terminals.
Newcastle port shipped out 14.3 million tonnes of coal in June, falling 3.2% year on year, with exports from the aforementioned two terminals at 9.1 million tonnes, 64% of the total.
