China's National Energy Administration has given green light to a coal mine project in northwestern China's Gansu province.
The Wuju coal mine, listed as a provincial key project, has a designed annual production capacity of 2.4 million tonnes. A same-scale auxiliary coal preparation plant will also be built.
Total investment of the project would be 3.27 billion yuan, according to the NEA.
The project is owned by Pingliang Wuju Coal Industry Co. Ltd, which is mainly engaged in coal mining, washing, processing and sales.
Gansu produced 36.6 million tonnes of aw coal production last year, according to data from sxcoal.com.
