China produced a total 223.47 million tonnes of cement in April, rising 3.8% year on year and 5.1% from March, showed data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on May 15, on the back of China's stimulation on infrastructure construction amid business resumption.
The average daily output was calculated at 7.45 million tonnes in April, increasing 334,000 tonnes or 4.7% year on year and surging 2.68 million tonnes or 56.2% from the month-ago level.
In the first four months, cement output totaled 520.95 million tonnes, down 14.4% from the same period last year.
The output of plate glass totaled 74.8 million weight cases last month, down by 6.8% on the year. Daily production was calculated at 2.49 million weight cases, down 1.3% from the month-ago level.
The output in January-April declined 0.3% to 304.41 million weight cases.
