Shandong province in eastern China produced 8.86 million tonnes of raw coal in February of 2018, showed data from Shandong Administration of Coal Industry on March 12.
The volume was 18.45% lower than 10.86 million tonnes from January and 2.91% lower from a year earlier, data showed.
The province logged a year-on-year increase of 3.8% in raw coal output to 19.63 million tonnes in the first two months of 2018.
Of that, provincial-owned mines produced 15.3 million tonnes of raw coal over January-February, dipping 4.1% from the preceding year, while raw coal output at municipal-owned mines at 4.33 million tonnes, up 2.6% on the year.
