Shandong province in eastern China produced 10.86 million tonnes of raw coal in January of 2018, showed data from Shandong Administration of Coal Industry on February 12.
The volume was 683,000 tonnes or 6.71% higher than 10.18 million tonnes from last December and also up by 1.16 million tonnes or 11.96% from a year earlier, data showed.
The province logged a year-on-year decline of 2.24% in raw coal output to 125.73 million tonnes in 2017, mainly attributed to the nation's de-capacity campaign to optimize the bloated coal industry.
