China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOP) and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) planned to supply 5 million cubic meters more natural gas per day to Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei after connecting their gas transmission pipelines on December 6, China News reported.
In doing this, millions of households' daily heating needs will be fulfilled, and more importantly, supply capacity of natural gas by CNOOP will be unleashed significantly.
Li Baofei, production and operation manager of CNOOP, said the joint effort by CNOOP and CNPC is rather meaningful in securing natural gas supply this winter.
Thanks to speed-up of NDRC's approval, CNOOP's Binda gas pipeline, which has a length of 4.7 km, was put into use in early December ahead of schedule.
