Huating Coal Industry Group Co., Ltd. has shipped 10.33 million tonnes of coal to other regions via railways by November 7, surpassing the 10-million-tonne mark for the fourth consecutive year, said the Gansu-based coal giant recently.
The company expected the figure to reach more than 12 million tonnes by the end of this year.
The achievement is partly associated with positive communication with railway authorities and end users.
After several researches and assessments, the company succeeded in opening dedicated rail line transport service for Jingmen, Jinggangshan and other four power plants.
"We promise to departure at least three trains each day during the summer and winter peak demand periods," said Kong jianming, one of officials in charge of coal sales of the company.
Huating Coal Industry Group, located on the junction of Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia provinces, is one of largest modernized coal enterprises in China. Its coalfield covers an area of 134 km2, with coal seams averaging 32.65m.
In 2009, China Huaneng, an energy magnate of the country, obtained 49% stocks of the company through equity transfer.
