China exported a total 690,000 tonnes of coal in September, climbing 9.52% on the year and surging 11.5 from August, showed data from the General Administration of Customs (GAC) on October 13.
The value of the September exports was $80.05 million, rising 65.39% from a year ago and 599.38% from August. That translated to an average price of $116.02/t, decreasing 39.2% month on month but increasing 51% year on year.
Over January-September, coal exports of the country rose 4.8% year on year to 6.6 million tonnes. The value totaled $895 million, surging 88.3% from a year ago.
Meanwhile, China exported 470,000 tonnes of coke and semi-coke in September, with value at $118.88 million.
