Rudong Baxianjiao offshore wind farm, located in eastern China's Jiangsu province, have started commercial operation fully since late September 30, becoming the largest offshore wind farm in Asia, said its runner China Huaneng Group, one of the leading generators in the country.
The wind farm finished a 240-hour trial operation as of 22:45 September 30, Huaneng said.
The wind farm has installed capacity of 300 MW in total, with 70 turbines of three types (4 MW, 4.2 MW and 5 MW). The 5-MW turbine was used for the first time in the country.
