Stocks of five major steel products in 20 Chinese cities increased 7.6% or 630,000 tonnes month on month to 8.84 million tonnes in September, showed data from China Iron and Steel Association.
Stocks of steel products in markets of these cities stood at 7.81 million tonnes, up 7.7% or 560,000 tonnes from the month prior; the rest 1.03 million tonnes were piled up at ports, up 7.3% or 70,000 tonnes from August-level.
Apart from hot-rolled coil & plate, stocks of the other four climbed from a month ago. Stocks of these five major steel products are shown in the following table.
